Job Title: Phlebotomist Accessioner

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accessioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for aliquoting and preparing all samples once blood is drawn, supporting phlebotomists on shift with samples post-blood draw, and using the centrifuge to correctly process samples. You will also troubleshoot centrifuge instrument issues and advise phlebotomists on the correct tubes to use for different tests.

Responsibilities

• Aliquot and prepare all samples once blood is drawn.
• Support phlebotomists on shift with samples post-blood draw.
• Use centrifuge to correctly process samples.
• Troubleshoot centrifuge instrument issues.
• Support phlebotomists with any errors with tube types and advise on what tubes to use for different tests.

Essential Skills

• Experience with centrifuge.
• Knowledge of different specimen tubes.
• Experience with aliquoting/sample preparation for blood samples.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Specimen processing skills.

Work Environment

You will be working in an oncology office as an accessioner, standing at a desk for the majority of your shift. This position offers a great opportunity to gain exposure in an office physician setting while representing a larger lab and network.Phlebotomist

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00
