Job Title: Phlebotomy Accessioner

Job Description

The role involves aliquoting and preparing all samples once blood is drawn, supporting phlebotomists on shift with samples post-blood draw, and using the centrifuge to correctly process samples. You will troubleshoot centrifuge instruments when issues arise and advise phlebotomists on tube types for different tests.

Responsibilities

• Aliquot and prepare all samples after blood is drawn.
• Support phlebotomists with post-blood draw samples.
• Operate centrifuge for accurate sample processing.
• Troubleshoot centrifuge instrument issues.
• Advise phlebotomists on appropriate tube types for various tests.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Phlebotomy experience.
• Proficiency in specimen processing.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot centrifuge.
• Experience in aliquoting and sample preparation for blood samples.
• Knowledge of different specimen tubes.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with centrifuge operation.
• Experience with aliquoting/sample preparation for blood samples.
  
  

Work Environment

This position is based in an oncology office, where you will work primarily standing at a desk for the majority of your shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
