Responsibilities
- Serve as assistant to the QA Manager, leading meetings and supporting departmental planning.
- Drive QMS harmonization and best practice standardization across sites.
- Act as site lead for customer audits and regulatory inspections, including compliance with AS9100 and other standards.
- Define and track strategic quality goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary problem-solving for systemic issues such as scrap, warranty returns, and field failures.
- Develop and implement supplier quality programs, including audits and performance improvement plans.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead technical development sessions.
- Support design for manufacturability (DFM), PFMEA, and process validation during product development.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 7 years of progressive quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Proven success in leading audits, managing customer/supplier relationships, and driving measurable improvements.
- ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) or ability to obtain within one year.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mundelein, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
