Job Title: Debt Resolution Specialist

Location: Reston VA - on site and after 6 months has the flexibility for 2 WFH days

Salary: $50-52K (depending on experience)

Job Summary:

As a Debt Resolution Specialist, you will work directly with clients to assess their financial situations, develop personalized debt management strategies, and negotiate with creditors to resolve outstanding balances. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of debt resolution processes, and a passion for helping others regain control of their finances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client financial situations, including outstanding debts, assets, and income.
• Develop customized debt resolution plans that are sustainable and align with clients' financial goals.
• Communicate and negotiate with creditors to secure favorable terms and settlements.
• Provide clients with clear guidance on debt management, including payment plans and strategies.
• Monitor and track clients' progress, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure success.
• Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, communications, and agreements.
• Offer ongoing support to clients, answering questions and providing solutions as needed.
• Educate clients on credit management and strategies to improve financial health.
• Stay current on debt resolution trends, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and compliance, to ensure resolutions meet all legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in debt resolution, credit counseling, or a related field.
• Knowledge of debt relief options, credit reporting, and consumer finance laws.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage challenging conversations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients.
