Key Responsibilities
- Network Management: Design, deploy, and maintain resilient company networks, routing, switching, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
- Team Supervision: Lead and mentor infrastructure engineers while managing escalated support tickets.
- Systems Administration: Oversee updates, backups, and configurations for infrastructure/security hardware, virtual machines, storage, and datacenters.
- Cybersecurity: Conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor threats, and implement cybersecurity best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain network diagrams and system documentation.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Provide in-person and remote technical support; manage incident tickets and network performance issues.
- Change Management: Ensure knowledge sharing, proper documentation, and smooth task execution.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and integrate new technologies.
- Budgeting & Planning: Participate in infrastructure budget management and disaster recovery planning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.
- Experience: 8 years in network and security roles.
- Technical Skills: Expertise with protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VPNs), Cisco, Palo Alto, and Meraki technologies, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and cloud voice solutions.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: SSO, MFA, IAM, incident management, and security best practices.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and customer service focus.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain focus despite interruptions.
- Familiarity with Jira for incident and asset management.
- Windows OS troubleshooting experience.
- Prior oil and gas industry experience.
