Job Title: Associate Shop Technician (Field Distribution)
Location: Arlington, TX
Pay Rate: $19.29/hr (Temporary, potential for permanent hire)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Summary:
The Associate Shop Technician is an entry-level production and technical support role responsible for assembling, prepping, and performing basic troubleshooting on copiers, printers, and related Ricoh equipment. This position works under close supervision in a warehouse production environment and supports the delivery of configured equipment to end-user customers.
Ideal candidates have basic electromechanical aptitude, assembly experience, and comfort using computers. Training is provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prep and set up new copiers/printers, including unboxing, parts installation, and stretch-wrapping equipment
- Perform basic operational checks and adjustments using the Supply Chain Install/Return Checklist
- Meet and maintain productivity and quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete all administrative and documentation tasks accurately and promptly
- Close jobs in WMS and track hours to maintain productivity reporting
- Safely manage and control all assigned company assets
- Assist team members as needed and perform other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Warehouse/production environment with normal lighting, ventilation, and noise levels
- Regular exposure to minor cuts, burns, and chemical cleaners
- Frequent physical activity: lifting, bending, squatting, kneeling
- Must lift up to 75 lbs. and move wheeled equipment up to 700 lbs. with assistance
- Standing and walking required throughout the shift
- Overtime may be required depending on workload
- Casual attire allowed (jeans/shorts); no open-toed shoes
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic mechanical, electrical, and computer knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions, procedures, and documentation
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working with tools, equipment, and warehouse materials
- Reliable attendance and adherence to safety protocols
