We are currently seeking a Controller for a direct hire opportunity located in Anaheim. Must have mortgage industry experience.
Pay up to $175,000 plus bonus
Responsibilities for the Controller:

Responsibilities for the Controller:
- Will be responsible for overseeing and managing the P&C accounting department.
- Responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate financial processing
- Will review and monitor the general accounting activities for compliance, accuracy and ensuring the adhere to the accounting policies and procedures
- Responsible for leading the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process
- Responsible for ensuring internal controls and met
- Prepare the statutory filings
- Responsible for training and mentoring the staff
- Responsible for the financial reporting ana analysis
- Will work closely with the outside CPA to prepare audited financial statements and tax returns
- Ensure documentation and coordinating of new procedures
- CPA is highly preferred
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required
- 10 years of full cycle GL accounting experience
- 5 years of supervisory experience
- Must have mortgage industry experience
- Strong background in leading and developing the accounting staff
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Advanced Excel skill
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
