As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will:
- Support people who experience life with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
- Deliver person-centered care for each individual, honoring the person’s right of individual choice and input;
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals supported, family members, medical professionals, coworkers, community members and in documentation;
- Maintain and promote positive, caring living and working environments.
Qualifications for a Direct Support Professional DSP:
- Be dependable and punctual;
- Be able to lift, transfer, push/pull, maneuver and reposition 50 lbs;
- Be able to prepare written reports via computer using proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Have documentation of a COVID-19 vaccination or Exception Form.
