What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Lab Chemist - 2nd Shift position at Ajulia Executive Search?
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and specialized analytical chemical testing on various samples, including raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, and water samples
- Support development projects, new products, and Out of Specification investigations through specialized testing as directed by the Laboratory Manager
- Document all results according to SOPs and review the work of other laboratory personnel
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR
- Perform analytical work for cleaning validations and engineering trials, compile and summarize data, and maintain general lab cleanliness
Qualifications
- College degree in Chemistry, or related Science degree
- Laboratory experience
- Must have common knowledge of basic chemistry techniques and analytical testing and instrumentation
- Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments and perform routine preventative maintenance
- Ability to work extra hours, including some limited weekend work
Salary: $22/hr. - $25/hr.
