What you’ll be doing:
- IT Project Management for a variety of efforts which may include hardware/operating system/database upgrades, tool or software version upgrades, implementation of new features or systems, software development, system integration, process improvements, documentation/project artifacts as needed
- Work with Program Manager, Sr. Director and team to gain a clear understanding of Charter goals, the reasons/benefits behind them and what success looks like
- Work with the team to identify other teams/resources/business stakeholders who will need to be engaged
- Establish work breakdown or tasks and approach for Charter goals, tailoring project management process to best fit and establish target dates for Charter deliverables
- Consider and identify risks that will need to be mitigated, and plan for mitigation
- Track/manage/report status on the work as it progresses.
- Communicate as needed with all parties from initiation to closure utilizing established practice when applicable and best fit ad hoc communications to keep parties abreast and follow up as needed
- 3 years’ experience creating deliverables within a software development lifecycle methodology
- 1 years’ experience managing IT system projects
- Knowledge of Project Management principles
- Ability to build and lead project work plan sessions to create project plans as well as provide weekly status updates
- Ability to identify risks and communicate those risks to the appropriate audience and then to facilitate the mitigation of those risks
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or business management field
- Possess or has made progress towards receiving a Project Management Certification from PMI
- IT focused background
