What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Incident Management Consultant (Hybrid) position at American Family Insurance?
You will participate in activities related to the preparation for, management of, and recovery from incidents that disrupt business operations across the enterprise. Responsible for the coordination and management of director-level workstreams across all areas of the enterprise to ensure efficient recovery from business disruption. You will communicate with senior leaders across the enterprise on incident decision-making and important incident communications. You will report to the Business Continuity and Third Party Risk Management Director.

$111,000.00 - $190,000.00

Primary Accountabilities
- Oversee the management and coordination of the Corporate Incident Management Team comprised of director-level subject matter experts across the enterprise.
- Coordinate subject matter expert workstreams, ensuring all roadmap initiatives are well-executed and delivered following the assigned timeline.
- Maintain centralized documentation and data connecting to incident response teams, impacted business owners, and key risk partners.
- Escalate program challenges and key decisions for approval by senior leadership and/or the Enterprise Risk Executive Committee.
- Collaborate and support business process owners, providing incident training, identifying opportunities to boost resiliency, and coordinating on post-incident findings and action items.
- Oversee management of after-incident activities including leadership debrief, root cause analysis, documenting findings and management of follow-up actions.
- Manage centralized enterprise incident data & reporting.
- Oversees incident exercise and training program leading quarterly enterprise incident exercises and collaborating on exercises executed within key business areas.
- May complete other assignments or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of incident management strategy, frameworks, and tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to senior leaders and board members.
- Demonstrated experience building and maturing incident management an incident management framework and strategy.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of risk management, particularly related to physical security, cybersecurity, or technology infrastructure.
- Strong organizational skills with consistent delivery on commitments.
- Demonstrated experience managing after-action reports and plan execution.
- Strong aptitude with risk and incident-related data and reporting.
- Up to 10%.
