Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring open heart recovery skills and a valid AR or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 17-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) caring for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics
- Patient population includes those recovering from coronary artery bypass grafting, thoracotomy, carotid stenting, heart valve surgeries, and other vascular interventions
- Unit utilizes advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), induced hypothermia devices, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and the Impella Heart Pump
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 to 19:00
Requirements
- Active Arkansas or compact RN license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; ADN required, BSN preferred
- Minimum of 3 years recent RN experience required
- Open heart recovery experience required
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within the first six months of employment
- Ability to communicate effectively and basic computer proficiency required
