Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring an AR or compact RN license and a passion for surgical nursing.
Details
- Work in a CVOR unit within a hospital environment with 13 operating rooms
- Handles a variety of surgical cases including general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiovascular, plastics, ENT, urology, and GYN procedures
- Approximately 650 surgical cases are performed per month in this department
- Utilizes advanced technology including the Davinci Surgical Robot, navigational spinal and ENT surgery equipment, and a hybrid OR for vascular procedures
- Scheduled for weekday nights (2 days per week, depending on staffing) and every third weekend (Friday through Sunday)
- On-call duties are required
Requirements
- Active AR or compact RN license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an ADN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of surgical nursing experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Basic computer literacy is required
- Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
