Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU position requiring a KY or compact license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
Details
- Position is in a 34-bed Stepdown/PCU unit within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio is typically 1:5 but may fluctuate based on census or call-ins
- Meditech EMR is used in this unit
- Night shift schedule of 19:00-07:30
- Shifts follow a 36/48 hour bi-weekly rotation
- Orientation is provided bi-weekly
Requirements
- Active KY or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications via AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification required
- Must provide proof of COVID vaccination or approved exemption
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

- Primary responsibilities include caring for stepdown and progressive care patients
- Travel pairs are not allowed unless there are extenuating circumstances
- Local candidates are not accepted due to the 100-mile radius rule
