What You’ll Do
As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a vital role in our preconstruction process—developing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for complex commercial, hospitality, high-rise condo, and light industrial projects. You’ll be reviewing bid packages, developing cost estimates, performing take-offs, collaborating with subcontractors, and supporting design-build efforts from concept to proposal.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requisition documents and determine project scope.
- Prepare conceptual and detailed electrical estimates using Accubid or similar software.
- Perform accurate material and labor take-offs based on plans and specs.
- Develop budgets, cost codes, and bid proposals.
- Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes for competitive pricing.
- Support project feasibility conversations with clients and stakeholders.
- Read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and local electrical standards.
What We’re Looking For
- 5–7 years of experience in electrical estimating for large commercial projects.
- Experience with design-build, conceptual estimating, and preconstruction.
- Proficiency in Accubid or equivalent estimating software.
- Solid understanding of electrical materials, specs, and code compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
