AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time IT Support and Help Desk Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career with a fast-growing company and have direct involvement in a critical area of our operations.
This position is the initial point of contact for internal end-users seeking technical support for basic to intermediate-level technology and networking related issues. Assistance is generally limited to workstations, network troubleshooting, printer, and LAN performance issues. Field inquires via phone, e-mail, and Helpdesk tickets in a timely and courteous manner. Will administer on site and/or remote support as required.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications and attributes that include:
- Efficiently prioritize and finalize tasks through to completion ensuring positive end results.
- Identify and escalate complex and time-consuming issues to the next level.
- Track department activities and Helpdesk tickets as required accounting for time allocations.
- Support internal training opportunities for end users as directed. Help provide course content. Conduct professional and relevant on-site and/or remote training.
- Implement software upgrades and computer station set-ups in a timely and professional manner.
- Safeguard Company data and maintain network integrity and security at all times.
- Participate in peer-reviews/evaluations of software related to business needs.
Position Requirements:
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma with 3-5 years direct work experience in IT support and/or a technology related role. A technical degree or training is preferred but not required. This is a hands on position that requires a strong mechanical and technical aptitude with advanced knowledge of computer software, hardware and excellent diagnostic skills.
