AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for an experienced, full-time Purchasing Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career with a fast-growing company and have direct involvement in a critical area of our operations. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the introduction of new products with the best timing, cost and quality that will exceed our customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Development Team to review and analyze bill of materials provided by customers for new projects.
- Communicate expectations and project details to our supply base.
- Send Request for Quotes (RFQs) to existing suppliers.
- Source new suppliers if necessary to meet project needs.
- Evaluate supplier quotes, including cost, lead time, terms and conditions.
- Make a recommendation for the supplier selection process.
- Report monthly scorecard with performance level to the Procurement Team.
- Assist with purchasing / procurement process once product moves to production stage.
Required Skills
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a purchasing role preferred.
- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office tools and data analytics programs such as Excel, BI Analytics or equivalent, required.
- Proficiency with ERP software preferred.
- Must have the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail; excellent multi-tasking abilities and possess ethical business principles with proactive communications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and cross-functional team environment.
