The Multimedia Coordinator will provide a variety of services, most notably in video and motion graphics for Sun Devil Athletics. Essential Duties
- Be a passionate storyteller and utilize digital and social media to create a deeper connection with the fan base.
- Conceptualize, produce, shoot and edit video content for all 26 varsity sports and Sun Devil Club for official department websites and social channels.
- Serve as photographer/videographer for various events as needed including but not limited to community/grassroots events, games and events, member/partner events and internal staff events.
- Work closely with Digital, Marketing, Sponsorship and Game Entertainment departments to constantly develop new ideas for organic, non-promotional content.
- Develop a high-level of brand expertise about ASU's family of brands and implements the established creative direction and standards into their daily work.
- Develop and produce predetermined & approved Sun Devil Athletic sponsor related content.
- Proactively produce content for all mediums independently as well as collaboratively.
- Produce motion graphics for social platforms.
- Conduct interviews to be utilized on digital and radio platforms.
- Assist with live production operations and postgame press conferences.
- Coordinate archiving and sharing of digital video assets for departmental usage.
- Optimize content for native social media consumption.
- Publish content in content management system.
- Understand and analyze key metrics to inform content decisions and make changes when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments to leverage multimedia content to achieve their goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of experience in the program of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Evidence of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of related experience in professional video production.
- Experience in non-linear video editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Demonstrated knowledge of video production process: pre-production, producing, direction, shooting and non-linear editing.
- Experience in producing content from start to finish under tight deadlines.
- Experience with motion graphics and animation design software, including Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of video codes and formats.
- Experience in meeting short deadlines, work in team-oriented and fast-paced environments.
- Experience in working flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Experience in setting up and executing solo shoots in a studio and on location.
- Experience in motion graphics creation.
- Extremely creative with a propensity to push the envelope to new and upcoming trends.
- Experience in organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working with high profile coaches/athletes an asset.
- The aptitude to keep confidential and sensitive information close.
- Evidence of a winning, team oriented, passionate attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
- Evidence in being a natural storyteller, the ability to create engaging and thoughtful content via different mediums.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Sun Devil Athletics is a plus.
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled studio/office setting/on location, subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
- Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.

- May be required to work nights and weekends.
