Job Summary
Responsible to manage and lead Line Quality in support of Armtec production operations to ensure all regulatory and customer requirements are met. Manage the correction action system. Lead efforts to boost employee morale by effective engagement and communication regarding product quality and product end-use. Mentor direct and indirect reports toward a culture of inclusion and promoting open sharing of ideas. Coordinate the quality related activities of the company. Support process and product improvement activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for product quality, Quality Supervisor and Quality Engineers
- Conduct Quality activities while operating within the Quality budget
- Training and mentoring Line Quality employees
- Assist setting and tracking Quality Department metrics
- Assure quality planning is accomplished for all programs
- Assure Quality related Contract Delivery List Requirements (CDRLs) meet contract requirements
- Support/lead process and product improvement activities
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
- Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Engineering, and five years’ experience in Quality Assurance; or ten years’ experience in Quality Assurance, five of which as a Quality Engineer
- Knowledge of Government specifications and ISO 9001 requirements
- Full knowledge of GD&T
- 5 years’ experience with DoD Contracts
- Demonstrated competency in the use of Microsoft Office software applications
- Technical writing and typing required
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated command of the English language (all Configuration items are in English) in both written and verbal form
- Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively
