Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician
Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine physicians to provide emergency medicine care at a comprehensive Indian Health Service facility in the Southwest.
Requirements:
- ABEM certified
- ATLS, ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any state or US territory
- No lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to assignment
- Annual Covid and Flu vaccination or exemption
About the Location:
- Approximately 13,500 annual patient visits
- Strong Navajo and Hopi cultural traditions exist within the communities
- The service units are located near the Grand Canyon National Park
- Nearest airports: Flagstaff Pullam Regional (2 hour drive), Albuquerque International Airport (4 hour drive)
Practice Description:
- Typical number of patients per day: 20-30/day, 10-20/night
- EMR: RPMS
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p/7p-7a
- Solo coverage - no APP backup
- 7 bed ED
The emergency room operates like a free-standing ER 24-hours a day and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) responders are always available with specialty services.
