Position Summary
Under the direction of department leadership, this role is responsible for supporting production operations by executing tactical maintenance plans aligned with plant strategies. The Production Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of facilities, utilities, and production equipment. This position collaborates cross-functionally and frequently exercises independent judgment while operating within established procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Securely open and close the plant following site safety protocols
Start, stop, and operate facility utilities and production equipment as needed
Operate and troubleshoot production equipment to perform diagnostics
Conduct preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance as instructed
Support modifications, rebuilds, and overhauls of equipment and machinery
Identify, report, and help resolve equipment deficiencies and safety concerns
Assist in the relocation, fabrication, or modification of facility assets
Maintain the site’s assets, systems, structures, and grounds in a professional condition
Follow and support OSHA standards and safety practices
Accurately complete required documentation and maintenance logs
Contribute to plant cleanliness and organization through daily 5S and housekeeping activities
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications
Ability to follow and execute technical instructions with minimal supervision
Familiarity with software tools including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and ERP systems
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
High attention to detail and professional work ethic
Technical Proficiency Required:
Basic welding and fabrication skills
Basic machining knowledge
Experience working with electrical and electronic systems including PLC, CNC, sensors, and circuits
Proficient in reading electrical schematics and using multimeters for diagnostics
Hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including operation and repair
Understanding of industrial safety systems and protocols
Ability to safely operate forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts
Preferred:
Formal technical training in electrical/electronic, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
Working Conditions
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
May occasionally lift or move items up to 40 pounds
Work will be performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to both office and laboratory areas
