Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren is seeking Therapeutic Recreation Associates/Activities Aides to join our growing activities/therapeutic recreation department under new leadership in a 293-bed medically-diverse skilled nursing facility.
A Therapeutic Recreation Associate/Activities Aide will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of therapeutic leisure time activities for our residents/patients. We’re looking for caring, creative individuals from a variety of backgrounds (former teachers, crafts and exercise enthusiasts, party planners, etc). Upbeat personality and high degree of creativity is essential. Must be an outgoing “people person” who is reliable, patient and brings the smiles in abundance!
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- College degree in relevant field preferred
- Experience in long-term care preferred
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Able to identify problems and devise action plan for resolution
- Able to work well with staff members, physicians, residents and family members
- Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
