Job Summary
As a Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Avera Marshall Hospital, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires a high level of expertise and compassion as you work with patients across all acuity levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative patient assessments, determining the plan of care and communicating it to the patient and family.
- Establish and maintain essential venous access, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of airway.
- Responsible for inducing, maintaining anesthesia, and proper monitoring, as well as completing anesthesia and emergence from anesthesia.
- Transfer care to appropriate staff at procedure termination and perform post-operative follow-up for each case.
- Act as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to work specified hours and perform essential job functions, including visual acuity and effective communication.
- Hold a current Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), Registered Nurse (RN), and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) licensure upon hire.
