Pay Range: $45-52/hr

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re hiring a Sr Mechanical Engineer to support a cutting-edge defense program. In this role, you will research, plan, analyze, design, and develop a variety of mechanical products. Perform technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and computer programs. Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements. Develop and revise technical documentation, and deliver technical presentations related to production support activities.
What you’ll do:
- Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 9.0 modeling software.
- Perform complex engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, testing, and product assurance tasks of limited complexity.
- Solve moderately complex engineering problems without clear precedents, ensuring tasks meet cost, quality, schedule, and performance standards.
- Apply engineering principles and practices to a technical project.
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Stay current with relevant engineering disciplines, industry practices, and trends.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.
- Provide input on project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Required Education & Experience and Skills:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field) with 4 years of relevant experience, or M.S. degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD systems, preferably PTC Pro-E or CREO.
- Ability to solve moderately complex design and development problems requiring professional engineering knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with internal or external manufacturing shops.
- Familiarity with military and commercial design standards.
- Knowledge of current engineering applications and technologies.
- Good knowledge of GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 2009 or 2018).
- Knowledge of Tolerance Stack Analysis.
- Experience with EPDM system, preferably Windchill.
- Experience in a military product production environment and developing precision assembly tooling preferred.
