What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Balanced Body Inc.?
Balanced Body is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage all aspects of accounting including financial reporting and staff management. This position will report to the Finance Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Manage the month and year end close process
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of all subsidiary and ad-hoc reporting
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, advanced degree a plus;
- 7 years of relevant experience; manufacturing/cost accounting required;
- CPA or CMA preferred;
- Experience with all aspects of general accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll, inventory, month end closing and preparing financial statements;
- Proficient computer and spreadsheet skills, particularly Microsoft Office products;
- Experienced user of ERP or inventory/cost accounting software;
- Experience with supervision of accounting staff;
- Strong critical thinking skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills and time management;
- A positive attitude and everyday commitment to constant change and growth.
Work Schedule:
Our office is open Monday to Friday. The office hours are 7:00AM to 5:00PM.
