What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Analyst I - Public Works position at Baltimore County?
A vacancy exists in the Department of Public Works and Transportation.

Examples of Other Duties
- Reviews employment applications and recommends acceptance or rejection based on established minimum qualifications for positions.
- Participates in job analyses to identify requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for examination development.
- Participates in development of examinations, including written, oral and performance exams and ratings of training and experience.
- Administers employment examinations.
- Provides information to applicants regarding job opportunities and application procedures.
- Participates in job analyses for classification purposes.
- Reviews position descriptions, performs desk audits of positions, and recommends allocation of positions to appropriate classes.
- Drafts new and revised class specifications.
- Participates in limited classification and compensation surveys.
- Participates in the unemployment insurance cost control program.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of automated personnel recordkeeping systems.
- Assists in interpreting applicable personnel law, rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and memoranda of understanding.
- Delivers employee training sessions from develop curriculum.
- Participates in limited curriculum redesign.
- Prepares draft correspondence and reports.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
- May coordinate the activities of clerical or support personnel.
- May represent the department at meetings or on committees.
- Performs other related duties as required.
(Experience in human resources administration may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of four years for the required education.)

The work of this classification is essentially sedentary. Some positions may involve occasional travel between work sites.
