Location/Shift:
- Baltimore, MD (Greenwich)/ Monday - Friday, 3pm - 11pm ET
- Baltimore, MD (Greenwich)/ Saturday and Sunday, 10am - 6pm ET
Job Description:
Provides intake, assessment, and treatment planning for clients on the 3.7 residential unit. Responsible for evaluating the client’s overall situation, completing a Biopsychosocial (BPS) assessment, developing an individualized treatment plan, and performing follow-up on these documents. Provides individual and group counseling, working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team. The employee works under the general supervision of the program manager. Works within their scope of practice.
Essential Functions:
- Provides individual and group substance use counseling to clients in 3.7 residential treatment and completes all documentation in Credible, electronic medical record.
- Meets with clients upon admission to 3.7 unit and completes the biopsychosocial assessment, and initial treatment plan.
- Meets with clients individually and reviews progress made towards treatment plan goals. Collaborates with all members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding client care.
- Prepares and submits initial and concurrent authorizations to third party payors and/or insurers for applicable patient billing.
- Completes client discharge summaries, coordinating with the client’s care coordinator, director of substance use services and nurse prior to discharge.
- Acts as a liaison as assigned and appropriate for internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate adherence to company policies and expectations and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit.
- All tasks, projects, and/or duties as assigned and authorized, as determined by director of substance use services (or designated delegate) to be congruent with the role.
Qualifications
Education and Credentials:
- Associate’s degree and CSC-AD, or
- Bachelor’s degree and CAC-AD, or
- Master’s degree and CPC-AD
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience working with individuals in the public behavioral health system, preferrable
Additional:
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, required
- Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, Preferred
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift weights up to 50 pounds at times.
