Job Summary:
The Chair Lift, Tow Rope, and Tube Hill Operator is responsible for assisting customers with loading and unloading from the ski lifts, tow ropes and tubing hills. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean and friendly environment. This is an at-will position. Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Gain knowledge and understanding of Park District policies and procedures and see that they are adhered to at all times.
- Attend district-wide part-time staff orientations, crisis trainings and office staff trainings as directed.
- Comply with the District’s Dress Code by coming to work in clean, presentable clothing.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading on ski lift, tow ropes and tubing hill.
- Available for flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for the customers safety while riding the lifts, tows and tube hill.
- Assist ski patrol with safe evacuation procedures during emergencies and transporting injured skiers.
- Observe and follow all Park District safety policies and regulations. The safety of staff and participants is a continuing responsibility of all employees.
- The District encourages its employees to take ownership of the District. As such, it shall be the responsibility of all Park District employees to pick up litter throughout the buildings, grounds, and facilities of the District.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule & Pay: Typically, under 20 hours per week. Season runs from Mid-November through the beginning of March, weather permitting. Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Starting hiring range is between $15.00 - $16.00 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:
Must be 16 years of age. The individual should have good customer service, and people skills and possess a courteous and friendly personality.
