LAWN & SPRINKLER CENTER SALES ASSOCIATE (Full-Time/Part-time)
The Big Tool Box is accepting applications for Lawn Sprinkler / Irrigation Sales Associates. The primary focus of our sales associates is to greet customers and check them out through our point-of-sale system. Lawn Sprinkler Center Sales Associates are responsible for assisting customers with questions and purchases ensuring a positive shopping experience. Associates will take an active role in stocking inventory and maintaining store cleanliness.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, friendly, and helpful. Must have previous experience/working knowledge of sprinkler/irrigation systems. Make an impact in the community by helping our neighbors with their projects while working in a fast paced and fun environment. Our mission is to go the extra mile for our customers and look for associates who have the same attitude. This position reports to the Assistant Manager and/or the Manager on Duty.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Must have previous experience/working knowledge of sprinkler/irrigation systems
- Skill in counting money and processing customer transactions accurately.
- Able to follow verbal and written work directions, particularly where instructions are specific.
- Able to communicate respectfully with coworkers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operating Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Greeting and assisting customers.
- Clean and maintain organization at the checkout station.
- Assist with answering phones and responding to radio and overhead pages as needed.
- Completing end of day cash report thoroughly and accurately.
- Following through on daily checklists.

Physical Activities:
- Ability to work on feet (for long periods of time) in a hot and humid environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull moderately heavy objects, up to 50#.

- Potential for exposure to slippery surfaces and allergy irritants.
