Are you a skilled and dedicated special education teacher seeking an exciting career opportunity? We are currently looking to fill a role for an early childhood special education teacher at the Birch Agency.
Job Description:
- Support young children, from birth through age five, who have developmental delays or disabilities in their learning, communication, social-emotional development, physical growth, and independence.
- Develop individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction and services that promote learning and development.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to create a comprehensive support system for each child.
- Design and implement curriculum adaptations for students with special needs.
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Virginia teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.
- Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area.
- One year of student teaching experience.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Location: Turbeville, VA
Salary : $80,000 - $150,000
