Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team at Birch Agency. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and be part of a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for special education students
- Provide learning activities and experiences designed to help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth
- Work collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop IEPs
- Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs for assigned students
- Conduct assessments of student learning styles and plan appropriate instructional strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid SC teaching certificate with required special education endorsements
- Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
- Effective communication skills
