The Customer Care Specialist will serve as the critical connection point between operations, customers, warehouses, and port/rail facilities. You’ll manage multiple accounts, ensure seamless order execution, and proactively resolve issues in a high-paced logistics environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage day-to-day communication with customers, warehouses, port/rail docks, and internal operations teams
- Track and trace containers using port and rail systems and VIntermodal Manager software
- Coordinate order pickups and deliveries with dispatch and drivers
- Communicate schedule changes and issues to both customers and internal stakeholders
- Prepare orders for invoicing and support accurate billing and documentation
- Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and detailed follow-up
- Support cross-training and standard documentation across teams and markets
What We’re Looking For
- Proven customer service experience in a logistics, drayage, or intermodal operations setting
- Familiarity with container tracking and VIntermodal (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving mindset with a “never say no” approach
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ownership
- Typing speed of 40 WPM; Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
- High School Diploma or GED required
