Our College Bound Coordinator is involved in coordinating and delivering comprehensive college readiness programs to high school students, with a focus on ACT preparation, college workshops, exploration, tours, and financial planning.
Our Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.
These are some of the responsibilities of our College Bound Coordinator:
- Conduct ACT preparation sessions, utilizing effective teaching strategies to help students improve their scores.
- Plan and organize college workshops covering various topics such as essay writing, resume building, interview skills, and college application processes.
- Coordinate college exploration activities, including campus tours, guest speaker sessions, and career exploration events.
- Provide guidance and support to students in navigating the college application process, including assistance with completing FAFSA forms, applying for scholarships, and understanding financial aid options.
- All BGCTM employees have the responsibility to help maintain the safety of our members and staff, and ensure an optimal experience for all.

- Salary starts at $38,500.00 per year.
This is what your schedule could look like:
- This role is full-time. While we always aim for consistent schedules to promote balance, the shifts for this position may vary.
- This role's home-base will be the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse (E. Ninth St.) but may include some travel to other BGCTM sites.
Qualifications
We have great staff that can teach you some skills on the job, but here is the education/experience and traits that we look for in a College Bound Coordinator:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or certification in a specialty area preferred.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of youth and teens or a combination of education and relevant experience.\
- Proficient in using various computer software programs, including but not limited to ClubHub, membership applications, payroll /web-time based systems, microsoft platforms, and familiarity with the internet.
- You are a fun, energetic, and excited individual
- You have a passion for building a better community
- You have the ability to communicate and cooperate with youth, other staff, and parents.
- Management experience preferred
- Minimum of 18 years or older

- You will need to provide 3 references. These references should be professional references if you have work experience. If you don’t have work experience, these references can be any non-family member over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism.
- You will also be asked to complete a drug screen, background check, and fingerprint check.
