Required Degree: MS or PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field.

Experience: The Department of Psychology at Brigham Young University invites applicants of any academic rank to fill a part-time position in the Department of Psychology to begin Winter Semester 2026. The selected candidate will show commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring. Our department values belonging, student mentoring, a collegial culture, and the ideals of open and reproducible research. Prior experience with teaching in organizational psychology is preferred.
Duties/Expectations: The responsibility of this faculty member is to teach Psych 350 (Intro to Positive Psychology). Selected candidates are expected to have the knowledge and ability to teach about how individuals think, feel, and behave in social contexts. Topics include social perception, attitudes, persuasion, conformity, group dynamics, prejudice, aggression, prosocial behavior, and interpersonal relationships. Candidates should engage students in applying social psychological principles to real-world settings and encourage reflection on how gospel-centered values relate to human social behavior.
This course will be taught as an in person class from 2:00 - 3:15pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in Winter Semester 2026.
