Job Description
Strategic Marketing Account Manager
The Strategic Marketing Account Manager develops and executes marketing strategies for BYU Continuing Education, its programs, products, and service areas as assigned. They work closely with the Dean’s Office, program directors, product managers, and the multimedia production manager to create, develop and implement marketing plans based on research, recommendations, and opportunities to increase awareness and reach of and participation in CE offerings. The account manager conducts market research, develops action plans, creates effective communication, delivers content on time, and evaluates performance using data. The account manager is responsible for executing multichannel marketing campaigns for assigned areas to meet goals across all media channels, including owned, paid, and shared media. The manager coordinates with the CE Communication Manager as appropriate for targeting university, CES, and Church audiences.

What You’ll Do In This Position
- Promote awareness of CE, its programs, and products, as assigned, among target audiences.
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities aligned with BYU and CE mission, vision, and values.
- Develop marketing recommendations and plans, meeting weekly with stakeholders.
- Execute comprehensive campaigns and deliver content on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with Multimedia Services (and third parties as approved) and management for collateral creation.
- Supervise development of content for owned, paid, and shared media channels.
- Owned media: websites, blogs, emails, mailing addresses, texting, etc.
- Paid media: digital marketing, print ads, billboards, radio/TV/podcast commercials, etc.
- Shared media: Facebook (pages and groups), Instagram, LinkedIn, etc
- Recruit, train, manage, and dismiss part-time strategic marketing staff.
- Collaborate with other CE Departments and stakeholders to analyze participant and influencer feedback from surveys and questionnaires.
- Assess marketing impact through research and analyze website, digital ads, emails, and social media analytics.
What qualifies you for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of digital marketing, advertising, and social media experience OR
- 5 years of digital marketing, advertising, and social media experience OR
- The equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree in marketing related degree (communications, business, public relations, or marketing)
- 1 year of digital marketing, advertising, and social media experience
