What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Trial Foreclosure Paralegal position at Brock & Scott PLLC?
The Paralegal will assist attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; research, investigations, and fact checking; and trial preparation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Cataloging incoming pleadings, answers, court orders and documents.
- Review of title updates and ability to identify minor title issues.
- Preparation of assignments of mortgage and forwarding of same for execution and recording.
- Drafting of pleadings for attorney review.
- Filing pleadings and documents with the court.
- Monitoring and updating of lender / servicer systems of record.
- Direct communication with clients, court representatives, attorneys, and outside parties.
- Maintaining attorney hearing calendar.
- Tracking and meeting court deadlines.
- Document collection in advance of trial date.
- Cataloging electronic mail system.
