Job Title: Web Filtering Security Consultant (Secure Web Gateway Architect)
Location: Remote (U.S. based preferred)
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Web Filtering Architect to lead internal projects focused on Secure Web Gateway (SWG) solutions. This role is both hands-on and strategic, with responsibility for mentoring entry level security engineers, guiding architecture, and working across security domains. Ideal candidates will have deep technical experience with tools like Netskope, Zscaler, Skyhigh, or Palo Alto (Palo) and a strong background in cybersecurity, web filtering, and SASE/SSE technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the technical lead on web filtering and SWG-related projects.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure web access solutions (SWG, CASB, ZTNA).
- Mentor internal team members and lead technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Work closely with security architects and engineers on strategy and integration.
- Collaborate with other teams to prioritize and support SIEM initiatives.
- Stay current on Secure Web Gateway trends and technologies.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Secure Web Gateway (SWG) platforms.
- 8 years in cybersecurity, preferably with strong experience in web filtering.
- Strong expertise in Netskope, or similar solutions such as Zscaler, Skyhigh, or Palo Alto Networks.
- Experience with CASB, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and SASE/SSE is a strong plus.
- Previous roles as a Sr. Security Engineer, Security Architect, or SWG Architect.
- Demonstrated experience in highly regulated environments like financial services.
- Comfortable leading technical initiatives and mentoring others ("been in the weeds").
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
