Brunel is recruiting Piping Designers to work in Billings, MT for initially 1 year contract with our major Oil and Gas client.
Work Environment: On-site, office and field (refinery setting)
The candidate will provide piping design support for refinery projects at the Billings site, create and revise piping drawings during all phases of the design and Management of Change (MOC) process.
Responsibilities:
- Create, revise, and manage piping design drawings in support of refinery projects.
- Track and report on design progress and workflow priorities.
- Assemble piping design packages for use during construction.
- Support all phases of projects from initial design through execution.
- Ensure all designs comply with company's standards and other applicable piping standards.
- Work safely in both office and refinery environments, including performing field walks.
- Collaborate with engineers and other designers to deliver complete construction-ready design packages.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of piping design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Experienced in 3D modeling and point cloud workflows.
- Strong understanding of piping standards, methods, and practices (including company's standards).
- Comfortable working independently and in team settings.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
- Ability to safely navigate refinery environments and perform physical field walks.
