The GI Lab Tech (Endoscopy Technician I) assists nurses and physicians in providing care for endoscopy patients. Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certifications:
- BLS (Required upon hire)
- SGNA-GTS (GI Tech Specialist) – within 90 days of hire
- Experience:
- No prior endoscopy experience required
- Completion of 2-day endoscopy training within 30 days of hire
- On-the-job training with documented competencies
Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service
- Ability to work in high-stress and emergent situations
- Proficiency with GI procedures and patient positioning
- Basic computer skills may be required
- Team-oriented with multi-tasking ability
