Maintenance Technician

AWS/CES is looking for a Maintenance Technician for our automotive manufacturing client in Cullman, AL

• Travel: Required to travel to Winchester, TN 1x a week or as needed
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Pay: up to $32 per hour DOE
• Shift: start time 6:30am

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of production equipment and CNC machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Minimize downtime by troubleshooting and repairing machines and equipment
• Keep work areas clean and follow all safety protocols
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment components
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machines like CNC/EDM, Makino, DMG, OKK, Kuraki, and ONA
• Maintain parts inventory, manuals, and tools
• Operate machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate or repair parts
• Install major components like motors and hydraulic systems
• Attend training to stay up to date on equipment and repair technologies
• Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met

Qualifications

• Millwright or Electrical license, high school diploma (or equivalent) required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, including CNC troubleshooting
• Familiar with CNC controls: Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley, Siemens
• Understanding of G-code programming
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Must be available for overtime, on-call work, and off-shifts as needed
