Job Description:
Pond Cove Elementary is a large, high-performing K–4 school serving over 550 students and supported by more than 90 committed staff members. We hold ourselves to high standards of academic excellence and professionalism and are seeking a full-time Building Substitute Teacher to join our team. This benefited position plays an essential role in maintaining instructional continuity and supporting student learning across the school. It is a school-day–only role, with no after-school meetings or events required.
This is a dynamic, hands-on position that offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and staff across all grade levels. Whether stepping into a classroom for the day or providing small-group support, the Building Substitute is a valued member of our instructional team and plays a meaningful part in the daily life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom instruction across various grade levels and subject areas, including specialist classes (Art, PE, Music, Spanish), often with limited advance notice.
Support individual and small group student learning when not assigned to classroom coverage.
Collaborate with colleagues and office staff to receive and adapt to daily assignments and schedule changes.
Contribute positively to school culture and participate in school-wide events, routines, and responsibilities.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all FERPA and legal guidelines.
