We are representing an industry leading FORTUNE 500 industrial manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a Quality Engineering Director/Technical Director to lead their "flagship" campus due to a recently announced retirement. The Technical/Quality Director will report directly to the VP/General Manager who is looking to begin the interview process ASAP!
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Candidate will report to the General Manager while managing a department of (50) over a 800 employee/$600M revenue campus. Candidate will be responsible for leading (5) Managers
- Complete financial/budgetary ownership over Quality, Engineering (Process & Product), Lab, and Metallurgy.
- Provide direction and leadership consistent with company and business plan goals.
- Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Direct and drive the utilization of problem solving methods for related plant and customer issues.
- Work closely with plant staff to development "HI-POT " talent
- Responsible for improving process efficiency through best practices, SOP's, and lean manufacturing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Technical Degree is required for consideration (Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, etc..)
- Aerospace and/or Metals is required for consideration
- Candidate should have at least 5 years of Engineering & Quality Leadership experience within highly regulated environment
- Experience with AS9100/AS13100 preferred
- Data driven/process oriented
Salary : $170,000 - $210,000
