Career Strategies is looking for candidates with strong sales skills and exceptional customer service abilities for our apartment communities. As the Apartment Leasing Consultant, We are looking for candidates with great customer service skills that love working with people. Previous experience in customer service/sales, retail, food service, or prior leasing experience is beneficial.
Our Leasing Consultants interact directly with prospective and current residents to achieve the property's maximum occupancy. This includes generating and handling traffic, qualifying prospects, leasing apartments, and preparing lease documentation. You also have the opportunity to host and plan resident events and put your marketing skills to work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greet, qualify, provide tours of the community, and present features and amenities to prospective residents
- Lease apartments including Close the sale, secure lease agreement obtaining required information availability report, and process applications for approval (rental history, credit check, and background check)
- Follow up with prospects regarding the status
- Input information into computer systems accurately and timely
- Ensure the apartment is ready for the resident to move in on the agreed date
- Assist in planning resident functions
- Gather information about market competition in the area
- Follow CSI and on-site policies and procedures and comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws
- Follow all safety procedures and notify supervisor of safety hazards
- Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and develop relationships quickly
- Competence in the use of standard office equipment including telephones, Internet, fax machine, and photocopier
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Demonstrate strong work ethics with the ability to adapt to change
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Regular office work, however, occasional outside duties in all weather conditions
Requirements:
· HS/GED required
· Weekend availability is required

· 6 months of Leasing experience is a plus
· Software Knowledge; Yardi, Appfolio, On-Site, One-Site, Rent-Café a plus
