Job Title: Packaging Technician
Location: Mount Prospect, IL 60056
Duration: 12 months (high possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday to Thursday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
Job description:
• Labels, assembles, and packages pharmaceutical products.
• Performs manual or automated filling and packaging of blistered and bottled pharmaceutical products.
• Accurately counts and prepares packaging components to ensure accurate accountabilities prior to and at the completion of a job order.
• Ensures quality and productivity requirements are met.
• Cleans packaging rooms and machinery by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).
• Applies Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) in all areas of responsibility, including following regulations and activities safely and efficiently.
Skills:
• Must have basic computer skills.
• This position requires hand-eye coordination, manual and finger dexterity, attention to detail, the ability to perform repetitive tasks, and the ability to learn new tasks with assistance from supervisors and fellow employees.
• Must meet vision requirements for this position (i.e. color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus)
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Certification, including but not limited to filtering face masks, PAPR, N- 95 masks, half face masks, and safety glasses is required for this position.
• Must be able and willing to work in cold environments.
• Demonstrates and promotes Client’s values of Integrity Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
• Comply with all safety regulations and conduct all activities in a safe, efficient manner.
• Cleans packaging rooms and machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Principles (cGMPs).
• Performs manual or automated assembly, filling, packaging and labeling of pharmaceutical products. Ensures adherence to specifications and the highest quality standards.
• Accepts or rejects in-process clinical supplies and drug products according to acceptability standards determined by Good Manufacturing Principles, customer requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Performs counts of incoming and completed components and drug products to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Uses stationary and/or hand-held machinery in multiple operations.
• Must be able to work in both primary and secondary rooms.
• Some weekday, weekend, and holiday overtime may be required.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience.
- Ability to read, write and complete basic mathematics calculations
