Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Duration: 3 Months contract (Possible Extension)
Shift: Every other weekend required, Open to block scheduling but not preferred, 5-8's 4 am - 12:30 pm, 5 am -1:30 pm, or 2:30 pm – 11 pm

Duties:
- Under general supervision and according to specified procedures, performs routine laboratory activities such as patient receiving, venipuncture, computer data entry, and other related duties including lab clinical functions.
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Preferred Education:
- Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred.
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Michigan Driver's license and the ability to be insured by a HFMG Insurance Carrier.
Skills:
- 6 months to one year on the job experience in venipuncture required.
Schedule:
- Must have at least a year of experience
- Phlebotomy Cert strongly preferred
- Must have prior experience with LIS (Lab information system) experience
- Help with Morning Lab duties
- May need to learn specimen receiving, if they don't already have that experience.
