What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at CAROLINA PRG?
As a Senior Accountant you will report to the Controller and work closely with the Senior and Staff Accounting Teams responsible for accounting close processes, monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
- Complete routine accounting activities such as preparing, reviewing, record and adjusting journal entries
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current accounting policies and practices
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Provide guidance and assistance to accounting team members in completing routine accounting tasks
- Complete ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support broader finance group
- Participate in year-end audit assistance with external auditors
- Assist with preparation of various tax filing including but not limited to sales tax and local and federal income taxes
- Assist with the development and maintenance of accounting policies and standard operating procedures
Experience That Fits:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
- Accounting degree required
- CPA a plus
- ERP experience desired (company utilizes SAP)
- Advanced MS Excel skill
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
