Attorney

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Attorney to join our legal team. As an Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, preparing reports, and conducting legal research among other tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending personal injury actions, including premises and auto liability. Labor Law/Construction accidents and/or coverage experience a plus.

Duties:
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appeals
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, and discovery documents and briefs
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Prepare and present cases in court
- Attend meetings with clients to discuss case details and strategy
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on complex cases

Experience:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to the bar association in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law
- Strong knowledge of legal research methods and resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Proficient in legal administrative tasks such as drafting documents and conducting case analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously

Skills:
- Proficient in Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw for legal research purposes
- Strong ability to conduct thorough legal research using various resources
- Experience with legal administrative tasks such as drafting contracts and pleadings
- Ability to litigate cases effectively in court
- Excellent writing skills for drafting clear and concise legal documents
- Strong research skills to gather relevant information for cases
- Negotiation skills to reach favorable settlements on behalf of clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
