Our rapidly growing team of attorneys in the Long Island Office of Cipriani & Werner P.C. is actively seeking additional attorneys to join us.

Our Long Island team specializes in defending high exposure cases. Our attorneys have built a reputation for pursuing vigorous and inventive defense strategies not commonly advanced. We often come into cases as monitoring counsel retained by excess insurers, appellate counsel, or trial counsel. The team handles cases across a broad spectrum of practice areas in both State and Federal Court including Premises Liability, Catastrophic Injury and Wrongful Death, New York Labor Law and Construction, Maritime, Products Liability, and Transportation and Trucking.

Currently we are looking for attorneys with 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the areas we practice to become part of our collaborative team. There are great opportunities for development and advancement within the firm with pathways to leadership for the right candidate.

The ideal candidates will:

-have strong writing, communication, analytic, and creative thinking skills

-have experience managing an individual caseload defending cases from inception through trial (Trial experience is a plus, but not required)

-have experience drafting and responding to pleadings and discovery

-have experience taking and defending depositions of party and non-party witnesses

-have experience drafting and arguing discovery and dispositive motions

Candidates must:

-have a JD degree from an accredited law school

-be licensed to practice in NY with admission to other jurisdictions and/or willingness and ability to gain admission to other states strongly preferred

-admission to federal courts in NY also strongly preferred
