ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Since 1912, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of St. Louis has been caring for those in need in the 11 counties of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
In 2022, more than 96,000 people benefited from our services. 56.9% of these people live below the poverty line. ($26,500 for a family of four.)
- 13,292 children were served directly through foster care, residential placements, counseling, after-school programs, and other services.
- 667,829 meals were served to people who are poor and hungry.
- 671 clients assisted with employment services including job preparation, job search, job training.
- 24,963 individuals received interpretation or translation services
- 5,798 older adults were housed, fed, counseled, or received some other services.
- 903 veterans received legal, counseling, housing, and other supportive services.
Catholic Charities’ nine ministries and 900-plus volunteers are dedicated to serving men, women and children who do not have enough to eat; who lack adequate education, housing, or employment; who suffer the trauma of abuse or neglect.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Donor Engagement Manager will support the cultivation of major gifts for Catholic Charities Archdiocese of St. Louis, with special focus on a specific client service-line. The Manager will be responsible for following an annual stewardship plan to identify, cultivate, engage, build relationships and solicit individuals and organizations who desire to make a significant difference in the community through philanthropy. The Manager is responsible for the promotion and solicitation of Major Gifts with an emphasis on unrestricted contributions, tax credit donations, and special event sponsorships. This position will also place an emphasis on philanthropic activities leading to increased donations via appreciated stock, Required
Minimum Distributions, Donor Advised Funds, and Private Foundations,
Bequests and Trusts.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Five years or more experience in outside sales, prospect management, donor cultivation and solicitation. This position requires a definitive understanding of the works of
Catholic Charities in order to match the desires of a donor with current and projected needs of Catholic Charities. In addition, the position requires the ability to write and speak effectively about financial, social and spiritual matter with donors
