What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Cedarbrook Country Club?
We are looking for a reliable and personable individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our members and their guests, manage and maintain reservations and help to ensure smooth dining operations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members and guests as they arrive at the Club
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials
- Answer phone calls and take reservations and/or food takeout orders as needed
- Manage the waitlist and notify members when their table is ready
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Handle member/guest inquiries, complaints, and requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with seating arrangements for large parties or special events
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems, particularly Northstar is a plus
- Strong hospitality skills and a friendly demeanor
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of club operations is a plus but not required
**Please note that this position is for dinner service primarily. The typical host/hostess shift starts at 4pm and ends around 9pm.
